Bob Peters, CPA, graduated from the University of Missouri and got his start working for Ralston Purina Co. on the internal audit staff. This provided him with a lot of experience working for a large international corporation.
Peters moved on to work for The May Department Stores Company for about 15 years. He started working in the internal auditing department for this large retail corporation. He soon moved to New York City where he became vice president controller of their New York buying office and importing operations. Peters worked as the vice president and divisional controller for their retail store division for four years and then moved back to the corporate office in St. Louis to work as manager of operations in the auditing department on a corporate level. Until 1987, Peters audited store operations for The May Department Stores Company across the country.
In 1987, Peters went out on his own and opened Robert A. Peters CPA. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1991 and worked in accounting and finance his whole life.
